Melt pressure sensors - With fixed rod
Fixed rod pressure sensors are designed for easy installation directly into the mounting hole on production lines. This simple and robust design is ideal for applications where the sensor is not exposed to direct radiant heat from the line and the electronics are not exposed to extreme temperatures. Please note that the installation of these sensors in a vertical position above the line (at the 12 o'clock position) is not recommended, as the radiant heat can adversely affect the life of the sensor's electronics. For such applications, we recommend our sensors with a flexible capillary, which allow the electronics to be removed from the heat source and thereby extend the life of the sensor.
The main advantages of the fixed rod sensors are their high resistance to shocks and vibrations, which is key to resistance mechanical stress and prolonging the service life with a reduced need for maintenance.
