The TDA 463 are sensors with an accuracy of ±0.5% of full range that are ideal for applications requiring ease of installation, repeatability and reliability. These sensors provide an industry standard 3.33 mV/V output signal designed to work with most pressure indicators and regulators. The TDA 463 series sensors are equipped with a six-pin Bendix connector and optional thermocouples or resistance thermometers are available for simultaneous pressure and melt temperature measurement (TDA models). The sensors feature a 1/2-20" UNF thread for installation in standard mounting holes and can be supplied with a variety of other connectors and connections.

Melt Pressure Sensors - Combination Sensors with Rigid Rod, Flexible Capillary and Temperature Sensor


Combined pressure sensors with a flexible capillary represent a professional solution suitable for applications with limited space or exposure to radiant heat from heating elements of production lines. Thanks to the thoughtful extended design, the sensor electronics are located away from the radiant heat source, reducing the risk of damage.

These sensors are also equipped with a temperature sensor, and the customer can choose the type of sensor, either J, K type thermocouple or RTD (pt100). By choosing a compatible temperature sensor, the customer also receives information about the melt temperature from one process connection, which increases the efficiency and accuracy of the measurement.

The flexible capillary is designed to be resistant to damage and allow a high degree of bending, which facilitates installation and handling of the sensor. It is necessary to properly fix the sensor head in the attached adapter, which is part of the package. To achieve optimal performance, we recommend placing the adapter on a part of the machine where there are no unwanted vibrations or shocks that could negatively affect the sensor.

We offer the option of choosing the length of the fixed rod as well as the flexible capillary, as well as the option of choosing the mounting thread.
