ViscoIndicator
Product detailed description
VISCOINDICATOR RSU
Rheological Sensing Unit (RSU) that connects directly to the process and takes samples, conditions and measures polymer properties. It can be mounted on extruders, reactors or molten polymer transfer lines in various orientations. It uses a metering pump that isolates it from the process, metering molten polymer through replaceable capillaries and discharging a minimal amount of material at a rate of approximately 0.5 lb/hr (0.2 kg/hr). A three-wire RTD is used to control and measure the temperature of the molten polymer. A mercury-free Vertex pressure sensor mounted directly in front of the capillary is used to capture the pressure drop.
VISCOINDICATOR user interface
The HMI (Human Machine Interface) remotely manages the test parameters and provides measured and calculated material properties. It provides rheological data similar to a laboratory capillary rheometer or MFR data similar to a plastometer.
Optional process adapters for easy mounting
Allows us to tailor the connection to the customer's specific needs.
VISCOINDICATOR iRCU
Rheological control unit (iRCU), which controls measurement parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate) and ensures communication with the HMI interface. This the combination provides the system with computing power and top-notch graphics, allowing the iRCU to provide accuracy of +/- 2% over the entire range. The iRCU provides the processor with the ability to measure melt flow ratio, relative viscosity, intrinsic viscosity, and melt viscosity in typical end-user environments. All this creates a cost-effective system that reduces the risk of failure to an acceptable level. ViscoIndicator control is based on the Windows 10 IoT industry standard. External connections can be made via Ethernet, wireless connection to Windows 10 computers or USB. A color touch screen, local human machine interface (HMI) is standard. The HMI allows calibration and configuration of the system and is usually located in a separate box located within 10 meters of the iRCU unit, with a connecting cable.
